Create Records on Custom Objects With Formyoula
To integrate your form with Salesforce you need to create a Salesforce connection on Formyoula. In this guide we will show what type of custom fields you need to create on Salesforce, so that you can map them with Formyoula.
To create a custom object and fields please go to your salesforce.com organization and go to the setup.
Type in “objects” in the search box and click on the “objects” link under “Create”.
Click on the “New Custom Object” button.
Name the object label.
Select how would you like to name new records on Salesforce.
Tick the following box if you would like to add a custom tab in Salesforce for this object.
When done click “Save”.
Select an icon and colour that best fits for your custom object.
When selected click “Next”.
Choose the user profiles for which the new custom tab will be available. When done click “Next”.
Choose the custom apps for which the new custom tab will be available. When done click “Save”.
Now we need to add custom fields to our custom object. Click on the “New” button under “Custom Fields & Relationships” related list.
First select the field type based on the field type you have on your Formyoula form. First we will create a “Text” field that will be mapped to a “Text” field on formyoula.
When selected click “Next”.
Name the field label. And enter the length of the character amount for the field, 255 is the maximum length that Salesforce allows.
Select the profiles to which you want to grant edit access to this field via field-level security. When done click “Next”.
Select the page layouts that should include this field. When done click “Save & New”.
Next will be displayed a list of what type of fields you should select to match your Formyoula fields:
Formyoula “Text Area” field to the Salesforce “Text Area” field.
Formyoula “Number” field to the Salesforce “Number” field.
Formyoula “Currency” field to the Salesforce “Currency” field.
Formyoula “Email” field to the Salesforce “Email” field.
Formyoula “Date” field to the Salesforce “Date” field.
Formyoula “DateTime” field to the Salesforce “Date/Time” field.
Formyoula “CheckBox” field to the Salesforce “Checkbox” field.
Formyoula “Select” field to the Salesforce “Picklist” field. Input the same value you use for the Formyoula select field to Salesforce.
Formyoula “MultiSelect” field to the Salesforce “Picklist (Multi-Select)” field. Input the same value you use for the Formyoula multi select field to Salesforce.
Formyoula “RadioSelect” field to the Salesforce “Picklist” field. Input the same value you use for the Formyoula radio select field to Salesforce.
Formyoula “SmileyFace” field to the Salesforce “Text” field. This will input the value that the particular smiley face has into the Salesforce text field.
Formyoula “NPS” field to the Salesforce “Number” field. This will input the selected value from the NPS field (from 0-10) to the Salesforce “Number” field.
And all the Formyoula fields from the “Media Section” (“Photo”, “Audio”, “Video”, “Signature”, “Sketch”) to the Salesforce “URL” field. This will input a URL of the Formyoula field into Salesforce.

Now when all the custom fields are created you can map the Formyoula fields to the Salesforce fields. To do so, please go to https://app.formyoula.com/dashboard and click on the "Add" button under "Connections" column or press on the "Create a Connection" button under "Next Step" column, or select "Add/ Edit Connections" from the "Actions" list.
Select Salesforce from the available connections list and click "Create Connection".
Select the custom object you have created on Salesforce and click "Save".
Now map all the fields you would like to input in Salesforce. On the left select the Formyoula field and on the right select the Salesforce custom field when both selected click “Create Map”.
When all the fields are mapped go back to the Formyoula dashboard.
Now when a form entry will be captured a new record will be created under your new custom object on Salesforce.
